Our Experience
After 40 years in the insurance industry, COO of a section 17 federal corporation and 17 years with both feet in Indian Country, I decided to create my own firm, McCann Risk Solutions LLC. Preservation of Tribal Sovereignty is at the core of our service offering. As Albert Einstein once stated: "Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value". We strive to be of greater value to our clients than the placement of insurance. Whether broking or consulting, we strive to share knowledge to assist our clients in being self-sufficient in the management of their Total Cost of Risk. We primarily focus our effort assisting Tribal Governments and related entities with their Property, Liability and Workers Compensation Insurance and Risk Management.
Business/Service Model
Our service model is holistic in its approach to developing a strategic risk management plan. We inspect every property, perform contract review of risk assumption, discuss Tribal laws, review current risk management protocols, data analysis and assist our clients in a comprehensive understanding of their Total Cost of Risk. We underwrite your risk prior to any insurance company seeing the risk profile. This approach provides our clients with a different, more comprehensive understanding of risk. This value proposition includes a comprehensive survey of exposures, placement of coverage, ongoing management of exposures and claims management. You will always have an advocate representing your interests.
